I am a board-certified attending adult cardiologist with over 30 years of experience. My career is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of heart, vascular and thoracic diseases through early detection, education and prevention in Nigeria.
Author of several review papers referencing the burden of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), CVDs predominantly affecting Africans, along with opinion pieces aimed at addressing health disparities, prevention and more.
Dr. Folasade Alli – My Story
Dr. Folasade Alli is a U.K. and Nigerian trained Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Researcher with over 30 years of experience. Her career is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of heart, vascular and thoracic diseases through early detection, accurate management, education and prevention.
She trained in both Nigeria (where she was the best graduating medical student at the University of Ibadan) and the UK. She is an International Associate Member of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, and so on. She became a founding member of the Society of Quality in Healthcare in Nigeria (SQHN), and later co-founded LECC with Ms. Alli.
